The research and development efforts at UTARI rely largely on the strong partnerships we build with industry, government, and non-profit organizations, and other universities. The nature of these partnerships varies from groups we actively collaborate with, organizations who sponsor our research or who we have written joint grant proposals with and for, and those who communicate with us to evaluate new opportunities.

The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) is a 501(c)(3) biomedical technology consortium collaborating under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) that serves those who serve our nation.  In partnership with the Department of Defense and private support, MTEC is working to prevent injuries and accelerate the development of revolutionary medical solutions that will enhance wound healing, and return the wounded to fully functioning lives. Ultimately, all citizens will benefit from these technologies and health care solutions.

AFRL ML-RCP enables collaborative research partnerships between AFRL and academia that engage a diverse pool of talent in addressing foundational research challenges in support of the nation’s air, space, and cyberspace technology needs. This program is the single largest Department of the Air Force endeavor with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). The Air Force Research Laboratory is one lab, serving two services: the United States Air Force and the United States Space Force.
