Dr. Haleh Aghajani, Research Scientist who leads UTARI’s Bio-signal Processing and Health Research Group (BPHR), has been invited as a lecturer at the TExBioMed Summer Institute. On June 23, 2023, she will present “Bio-Signal Processing and Applications of Data Science in Healthcare” for training and experiential learning in biomedical informatics at the summer institute.
TExBioMed Summer Institute at UTA supports short-term biomedical informatics and data science training that prepares undergraduate students for biomedical informatics and data science graduate studies and research careers.
The program’s goal is to increase educational opportunities for underrepresented minority students in biomedical, health, and public health informatics while motivating students to pursue careers in these fields, ultimately expanding the talent pool and filling the future needs of the informatics workforce.
11 students will be selected each Summer, from Summer 2023 to Summer 2027.
UTARI’s BPHR Group focuses on “Bio-Signal Processing”, “Clinical Data Analysis” and “Application of Data Science Techniques in Biomedical and Healthcare Domains” to improve wellness and for monitoring, managing, and improving chronic health conditions.
