Biography
As the Senior Financial Analyst at the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI), Priscila manages comprehensive financial operations, including funds for state, sponsored programs, endowments, and gift accounts. She collaborates with principal investigators on purchases and budget allocations, liaises with the Department of Grants and Contracts, and supports financial management through due diligence, tracking, cost analysis, and reporting. Priscila reports to the Interim Executive Director, oversees administrative staff, ensures compliance with UTA and TX State procurement requirements, and assists in staff hiring for UTARI. She uses accounting resources like MARS, UT Share, EPM, Sahara, and Concur to prepare financial reports, conduct budget analysis, and track key initiatives. Additionally, she reconciles monthly financial statements, oversees annual certifications, and manages budget transfers and cost reversals.
Prior to moving to Texas, she lived with her family in Freehold, NJ and worked at Rutgers University in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources as the Department Business Specialist, where she was the financial contact for the department and the account manager for several multi-million-dollar awards. She had the privilege of working for many world-renowned biologists and ecologists, whom she considers some of her dearest friends.
Priscila earned her AS in Accounting and AA in Business from Brookdale Community College, Lincroft NJ as well as a BA in Economics from Rutgers University, New Brunswick NJ. She is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese.
